    • Daughter of Solomon J. Dewey. Blanche married 1) 14 Nov 1904 Forrest Reiley. Forrest and Blanche had a son, Loyd F. Reiley, b 26 Mar 1905 in Custer Twp, Antrim County, MI, d 24 Mar 1999 in Bellaire, Antrim County, MI. Forrest and Blanche also had a daughter, Eunice who married Verd Lambert. Eunice and Verd had children: 1) Norma m Dale Barnes, 2) James m Nancy, and Elsie m Don Altheran. Loyd's obituary, Antrim County News: "A 1924 graduate of Bellaire High School, he received a bachelor's degree from Central Michigan University and a master's degree from Michigan State University. He taught school in Alva, Roscommon, Sterling, Bellaire, Rapid City, Alden and Posen. A resident of Bellaire most of his life, Loyd was a member of the Bellaire Community United Methodist Church, Gideon International, the Grand Traverse 29ers Mission Group, the Bellaire Lions Club, Bellaire Masonic Lodge No. 398 and the Antrim County Retired Michigan Education Association. He enjoyed woodworking and wild berry picking. On 25 Aug 1934 in Kearney Twp, Antrim County, MI he married Mabel C. Montgomery who survives." Mabel C. (Montgomery) Reiley (1910-27 Jan 2000). Loyd and Mabel are buried in Eldred Cemetery.

      Loyd and Mabel had three children: Norman J. Reiley (m Sharon and resides in Lima, Allen County, OH), Forrest A. Reiley (m Lorraine and resides in Eastham, MA), and Martha E. Reiley (m Randy Cosens and resides in Lake Ann, Grand Traverse County, MI).

      Solomon (22 Aug 1849-26 Apr 1920) and Mary (15 Apr 1849-25 Dec 1919) Dewey are buried in Lakeview Cemetery. He served in the Civil War, Company A, 24th Michigan Infantry. In an adjacent Dewey plot are baby Myribe, d 4 May 1902 age 11y4m8d and Amos Hoot, d 29 Oct 1905 age 47y6m24d. Other Dewey graves in Lakeview Cemetery include Samuel Dewey (1888-1891); Samuel C. Dewey (1940-1941; son of Orland and Iva M. Dewey); Rozella Mae Dewey Grannis (1894-1974); Myrtle Dewey Sprague (1897-1974) m Floyd D. Sprague (1891-1975); Janice Sprague (15 Sep 1930-6 Aug 1983); and Allen F. Sprague (1926-1989; U.S. Navy coxswain in World War II).
